DEERFIELD, Ill. -- It started with the flu, and turned into a hospital stay. There were terrible headaches and weakness. Just walking was a chore. All at the worst time for Luol Deng and the Chicago Bulls. The All-Star forward made an appearance at Chicagos practice facility on Thursday, but it was clear from his drawn appearance and measured tone that he might not be able to make it back in time to play in the Bulls rugged post-season series against the Miami Heat. Looking for reinforcements for its depleted roster, Chicago is going to have to wait a while for Deng. "I dont know. I want to play, but I dont know what I can do," he said. "I just, I havent done anything." Deng joined his teammates for the film session covering Wednesday nights 115-78 drubbing by the Heat that evened the series heading into Game 3 in Chicago on Friday night. He also got on the court and took a few jumpers, but that was all he could handle. "Still day to day. Hes feeling a little bit better," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "Well see tomorrow." While Chicago was taking stock of its injuries -- Kirk Hinrich had a second MRI on his injured left calf, and Derrick Rose was the "same," according to Thibodeau -- Miami was bracing for the first game of the series at the United Center. Its the Heats first trip to Chicago since a 101-97 loss on March 27 snapped their 27-game winning streak. "We know that they call it the Madhouse on Madison for a reason," said Miami guard Dwyane Wade, a Chicago-area native. "The fans are very loud. At the end of the day, once that settles down, its the game of basketball and you have to execute your game plan. Its going to be the little things that wins games for your team." The Heat did everything right in Game 2, running away from the Bulls after a surprising 93-86 loss in the series opener on Monday night. A 62-20 run was more than enough to wipe away the residue from Miamis first playoff loss, and MVP LeBron James had only three points in the tidal wave -- a scary statistic for Chicago, and theres more. The Game 2 blowout was the 41st time that an NBA team won a playoff game by 35 or more points. In the previous 40 occasions, the team on top of the blowout went on to win the series 36 times. Its a good omen for Miami, but James knows firsthand how it can turn around in a hurry. He was playing for Cleveland when the Cavaliers lost 108-72 to Washington in a 2008 playoff game and went on to win the series. "Its just one game," he said. "Even though you got dominated the game before and you didnt do things right, its still one game. You dont get two wins if you win by over 30 or over 40. You only get one game. Theyre back in their home building, where theyre very good and we have to be ready for it." It looks as if the Bulls will be without Deng, Hinrich and Rose once again. Thibodeau said the team was awaiting the results of the latest MRI for Hinrich, who hasnt played since Game 4 of Chicagos first-round playoff series against Brooklyn on April 27. Rose hasnt played all year, but no one has ruled out what would be an emotional return for the 2011 NBA MVP. Even with the depleted roster, the Bulls managed to win Game 7 on the road against the Nets and then steal home-court advantage against Miami. Bouncing back against the Heat could be a matter of just keeping their cool after they were whistled for six of the nine technical fouls during the emotional Game 2, leading to ejections for Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson. "We got to do better. We got to do a much better job of that," Thibodeau said. "Cant get sidetracked. We know how it will be called. Were not going to get calls. We just got to be tough, mentally, physically, emotionally. We got to be a lot stronger." Asked what he meant about not getting the calls, Thibodeau responded: "Its just the way it is, you know. We didnt allow that to impact us in Game 1 and I thought we allowed it to impact us in Game 2." Deng watched Game 2 on TV, and said he thought the Bulls let it get away from them. He said the trip to the practice facility was his first time out of the house since a "scary" couple of days. Deng became sick during the Brooklyn series, missing practice on May 1 and Game 6 the next day. He felt so bad that he went to the hospital, where he had a spinal tap to rule out meningitis. "After that, I just didnt respond well," he said. "Started having severe headaches. Was struggling to walk. Started feeling really weak. Started throwing up ... I couldnt control my body really, and because of that I lost a lot of weight." Doctors recommended a blood patch to help heal the damage from the spinal tap, and Deng had to stay in the hospital for more than a day until his white blood cell count came down enough to allow him to have the second procedure. He dropped about 15 pounds, but is feeling a little better now and said hes proud of how the team has played without him. "Guys are going out there and just playing together," he said. "Just seeing them do it together is really the main thing. ... Watching it obviously is a lot harder when youre not out there, but just seeing your teammates play that hard and fighting together." After slipping from the summit during the week, the Gunners overcame struggling Crystal Palace 2-0 on Sunday thanks to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlains second-half brace. With the 2015/16 season drawing to a close, thoughts are turning to the summer signings that could transform teams for the next campaign. So could Zlatan Ibrahimovic be coming to the Premier League? How about Alvaro Morata?Goals win games and here are 10 players from the continent who could help provide them... Zlatan Ibrahimovic Ibrahimovic scored twice in his last appearance at the Parc des Princes According to the man himself, Ibrahimovic is leaving Paris Saint-Germain as a legend having scored more than 150 goals in his four-year stay in the French capital. At 34, the Swedes age profile might lead some to conclude that the powerful striker is past his best but theres no sign of his output deteriorating. While a move to Major League Soccer has been mooted, Manchester United have also been linked with bringing Ibrahimovic to the Premier League.Michy Batshuayi Michy Batshuayi is a target for a host of clubs across Europe this summer The Belgium international scored plenty for Standard Liege as a teenager and having enjoyed a breakthrough season with Marseille, netting 21 goals, a big move now beckons. Everyone knows hes leaving, says Marseille coach Frank Passi and England is the likely destination. Team-mate Steven Fletcher claims that he has everything you need for the Premier League and Sky Sports understands that the 22-year-old is on West Ham and Tottenhams shortlist.Alvaro Morata Juventus Alvaro Morata scored in last seasons Champions League final After a fine first season at Juventus in which the Spaniard scored against his old club Real Madrid in both legs of the Champions League semi-final before also finding the net against Barcelona in Berlin, Morata has had a quieter campaign in 2015/16. Having had to play second fiddle to Mario Mandzukic, hes even courted Premier League interest by saying it is more attractive for a striker so expect the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal to be on alert. However, Sky sources understand Real Madrid will activate his £24m buy-out clause and potentially sell him on at a profit. Alexandre Lacazette Alexandre Lacazette has been open about his Premier League ambitions The top scorer in France last season, no easy feat with Ibrahimovic around, Lacazettes form dipped in the early part of the 2015/16 campaign. However, hes been hot again of late, scoring 11 goals in his last 10 games for Lyon. Its not been enough to earn him a place in Didier Deschamps France squad but it might help get him to the Premier League - an ambition hes been very open about. Sky sources understand West Ham and Tottenham are interested. Lucas Perez Lucas Perez has enjoyed a fine season in La Liga with Deportivo la Coruna Its not been a conventional rise to the top for 27-year-old Lucas, with spells in Greece and Ukraine behind him, but the Deportivo La Coruna forward has certainly announced himself with 17 goals in La Liga this season - even finding the net in seven consecutive games late lasst year.dddddddddddd Leicester are reportedly prepared to make the Spaniard their club record signing but wont have it all their own way with Lucass name also thought to be on Arsenals list.Antoine Griezmann Antoine Griezmann has been one of the stars of Atletico Madrids season Its all about the team at Atletico Madrid, but when an individual is as good as Griezmann theres still room for superstars in Diego Simeones system. The France international has scored more than 30 goals for the club this season including the crucial away goal in Munich that helped see off Bayern in the Champions League semi-final. With four years left on his deal, Atletico are under no obligation to sell but Chelsea have still been linked with a bid.Gonzalo Higuain Gonzalo Higuain came second in the race for the European Golden Shoe A consistent scorer in his seven-year stay at Real Madrid, Higuain has long been linked with Premier League clubs and thats not going to stop after his stunning season with Napoli. The Argentine is the Serie A top scorer, having netted 36 goals in 35 games - the best campaign of his career. Although the 28-year-old is expected to spearhead Napolis Champions League campaign next term, Arsenals need for a striker means his name will continue to come up.Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has impressed with Borussia Dortmund Only Robert Lewandowski has outscored Aubameyang in the Bundesliga this season, with the Dortmund striker maturing into one of the most exciting talents around. Hes well aware that the Premier League would suit him too - theres so much space, he said in April - and got a taste of in scoring against both Tottenham and Liverpool in this seasons Europa League. There isnt a club in the competition that wouldnt want him in the squad.Edinson Cavani Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani continues to score regularly The impending exit of Ibrahimovic, might reduce the likelihood of Cavani following him out the door at PSG but the 29-year-old Uruguayan did describe the prospect of a Premier League move as very appealing as recently as March. He is the third highest goalscorer in Ligue 1 this season and his continued good form in front of goal could persuade Manchester United to make good on an interest that was widely reported in the winter.Vincent Janssen Netherlands international l Vincent Janssen has starred for AZ With 27 goals for AZ this season, Janssen is the Eredivisie top scorer and at just 21 can expect lots of attention this summer. The hard-working forward was in the lower leagues last year but is developing fast with 21 of his goals coming in 17 games since January. He scored from the spot against England at Wembley in March and with Arsenal and Liverpool thought to be tracking his progress that could be the first goal of many in the country.
